Dámaris M. Otero, Ph.D. has been a student of world religions and metaphysics for the past 20 years. In 2002 she was ordained an Interfaith Minister at the New Seminary, New York. Since her ordination as a Minister, she has created a wedding ministry in which she brings in her talents as a writer, poet and a student of Truth. She is currently a Chaplain at Unity Church of New York, where she has also taught for the Hispanic population. A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dámaris combines her spiritual life with a successful teaching career at Rutgers University, where she is a tenured professor of 16th and 17th Spanish literature, with a strong interest in early modern mysticism and women writers.
